Four things Friday

1. Actual knitting success! I made a quick pair of mitts for my grandmother's ninety-third birthday.

2. And a corresponding knitfail: the baby cardigan is turning out to be tiny. Too tiny. It's a lovely pattern - Little Coffee Bean, by Elizabeth Smith at The Brown Stich - so I am off to order the worsted (my, I feel American) the pattern advises.

3. Talking of knitfails - blocking didn't help Colour Affection all that much. It's a slightly larger scarf.

4. I followed with interest the case of Kate Davies v Debenhams, and the debate concerning intellectual property in design. I'm very pleased that a resolution has been reached.
